History of Stanta
- 1984 Incorporated and started planning and business counselling.
- 1985 Started building the St Albans Enterprise Centre.
- 1986 Enterprise Centre completed and achieved 100% occupancy.
- 1987 Formed STANTA Services Ltd. to manage the Centre.
- 1988-95 The Agency runs successfully, providing business counselling to the local community, and premises from which small and start-up businesses can operate. Today these premises provide a base for over 20 companies and also a place of work for approx 60 people.
- 1996-2004 Providing an improved counselling environment and employing specialist volunteer counsellors. Developing closer co-operation with other economic regeneration and business support services. Building reserves to develop further services and a second business incubator.
- 2004 Placed a £1.5 million contract for building a second business premises
- 2005 Stanta Business Centre opened. St Albans Property Services Ltd created to manage the centre. STANTA now provides a home for approx 40 businesses employing over 120 people.
- 2007-8 The STANTA Community founded to provide additional services to clients, and as a framework for open-ended advice in relation to Business LInk East/EEDA's voucher scheme for business support. Training products from Learndirect added to the range of benefits.
